With the coveted award resting on this chest and his eyes glinting with the happiness he said ," All I would like to say is, Teach your children music, this is Hindustan's tradition even the west is now coming to learn our music.

(B) Evelyn Glennie's loss of hearing had been gradual. He mother remembers noticing something was wrong when the eight year old Evelyn was waiting to play the piano. "They called her name and she did not move. I suddenly realized she had not heard,” Says Isabel Glennie. For quite a while Evelyn managed to conceal her growing deafness from friends and teachers’. But by the time she was eleven her marks had deteriorated and her headmistress urged her parents to take her to a specialist. It was then discovered that her hearing was severely impaired as a result of gradual nerve damage. They were advised that she should be fitted with hearing aids and sent to a school for the deaf."Everything suddenly looked black,” says Evelyn.

Answer: Margie's school was a virtual school in her house. It was located right next to her bedroom. No, she didn’t t have classmates.

b) Where does the traveler find himself? What problem does he face?

Answer: The traveler finds himself in the yellow woods at a point where the road forks into two. The problem that he faces is that he cannot decide which road to take to continue his journey since it is not possible for him to travel both roads at the same time.

c) Who first spotted Evelyn's potential in the field of music? What did he advise her to do?

Answer: Percussionist Ron Forbes spotted her potential in music. He helped Evelyn to continue with music. Ron Forbes advised her to feel the music instead of listening it. He began by tuning two large drums to different notes.

d) How is a shehnai different from a pungi?

Answer: Shehnai is a natural hollow stem pipe that is longer and broader than a pungiPungi has seven holes on the body of the pipe.

e) What are the things that the poet proposes to have around the cabin in the poem?

Answer: The poet wants to build a small hut of clay and wattles. He will have a nine bean-rows and a hive for the honeybees.

Answer: Even when the poet is far away from Innisfreehe hears the sound of the lake water washing the shore in his “heart's core”.

k) Why did Margie hate school?

Answer: Margie hated school because it was not fun. A mechanical teacher used to teach her everyday at a fixed time.

l) Why did Bismillah Khan refuse to start a shehnai school in the U.S.A.?

Answer: Bismillah Khan refused to start a shehnai school in the U.S.A. because he did not want to stay away from India.
